Allegiant Air check-in

How can I check in for an Allegiant Air flight?

Allegiant Air gives three options from which you can choose the most convenient one to check in for your flight:

  • Online Check-in.
  • Mobile Check-in.
  • Ticket Counter Check-in.

Which check-in time limits apply for Allegiant Air flights?

Allegiant Air’s recommendation is to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours prior to scheduled flight departure so that you are checked in for your flight, through the airport security checkpoints, and at the boarding gate at least 1 hour before the scheduled departure of your flight.

For all check-in options, Online Check-in, Mobile Check-in and Counter Check-in, the check-in deadline is 45 minutes before departure. Allegiant Air may cancel the reservation of any passenger who fails to comply with the check-in time limits.

Online Check-in

Most passengers should be able to check in online starting 24 hours before the scheduled departure of the flight, but no later than 45 minutes before the flight. To start Online Check-in you just need to enter the following information: your first and last name and the Confirmation Number you received when you booked your itinerary.

Options

Allegiant Air does not overbook flights intentionally. All flights feature assigned seats, and you have the option to verify your seat assignments when you check in online. For a nominal fee ($0 to $80), you can select your seat at the time of booking, guaranteeing your comfort and location onboard your Allegiant Air flight. If you’re traveling with a companion or your family, ensure you sit together, and you can even book an exit row with increased legroom if you qualify. Seats on an existing reservation can also be purchased or changed through Manage My Travel. If you do not pre-purchase reserved seats, your seats will be assigned by the system, at no cost, during Online Check-in, and you will be able to view your assigned seats and, if desired, change through Manage Travel before completing the check-in process.

During Online Check-in, you can also verify your bag reservations or add baggage to your itinerary. Allegiant Air offers passengers the option to pay for their baggage, carry-on or checked baggage, before arriving at the airport. You can save by reserving your baggage before arriving at the airport. If booked in advance and paid online, the baggage fees for your carry-on bag and checked baggage are significantly lower.

You cannot change your seat assignments or add baggage once you have printed your boarding pass or at the airport.

Please remember to print your paper boarding pass and bring it to the airport because a $5 fee applies per boarding pass for agent assistance in printing boarding passes at the airport.

Mobile Check-in

Available at select airports, Mobile Check-in via the Allegiant App allows you to:

  • Access your upcoming trips.
  • Reserve seats and bags.
  • Upgrade to Priority Boarding.
  • Check-in online.
  • Access and download your Mobile Boarding Pass.
  • Buy and keep track of all of your purchased deals.
  • Redeem your purchased deals directly on your mobile device.

You cannot change your seat assignments or add baggage once you have downloaded your boarding pass or at the airport. Please remember that a $5 fee applies per boarding pass for agent assistance in printing boarding passes at the airport

Ticket Counter Check-in

Not all passengers can check in online. Some passengers (e.g., passengers with special needs or traveling with pets) must check in at the airport ticket counter so that Allegiant Air can best accommodate special service requests on the passenger’s itinerary (such as a pet or wheelchair) or to better seat families together. For passengers required to check in at the airport ticket counter, the Airport Boarding Pass Print Out fee will be waived.

Once arrived at the airport, you must locate the Allegiant airline ticket counter and present your confirmation number and a government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, passport). All passengers over the age of 18 and any minors between 15 and 17 years of age traveling alone must present a photo ID.

Boarding

You should be present at the gate and ready for boarding 1 hour before the flight for which the reservation was made. Allegiant Air may cancel the reservation of any passenger who fails to arrive at the boarding gate at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time of the flight. Boarding will be closed out 10 minutes prior to scheduled departure. Passengers may be subject to being reassigned to another seat if necessary to provide seating accommodation to one or more passengers with disabilities, in which case, passenger seat selection fees will be reimbursed.
