Worst Flight Ever! The seat pitch is 26" not 28" like spirit adverstising says. Even I, standing 5 foot hated it. The flight at the beginning on the website was $32. I forgot to print my boarding pass: $6.99. We are now at $38.99, still cheap. I bought my bag online, $50. Its now at $88.99, still good. Then, I chose to upgrade for this hop($130), but when I got there, the check in person said that a Spirit Member was wanting to upgrade, and the only seat she had left was 10A. I was super angry, and asked angrily for a refund. She only gave me $60 in vouchers. I was then given my boarding pass for $7, as I said before. I was in "General Boarding Group A" and was called to board 5-7 minutes on, so OK, but when i got to seat 10A and saw the legroom... OMG... It was TINY. Once we got inflight, I got a soda and two chips. The attendant then said, that'll be $6. I then checked the menu, and sure enough, it was $6. By the end of this flight, I had spent $236.09 for what was advertised as a $32.99 flight. DONT FLY SPIRIT

I fly spirit often to see my grandchildren up north. Im a small woman so the seat room is ok for me. I only use a approved size carry on and my purse. I know the ropes and fly cheap and this airline is a blessing allowing me to fly often. The 2.5 hour flight is bearable so long as your not seated next to a large person or unruly children. I have never been charged for the overhead bin and bring my own drink and snack. I'm grateful for an airline that I can usually fly round trip for about $100.00-$120.00! No complaints here. Just do your homework and you'll find the savings are well worth the learning process involved. Staff has always been professional and the couple of times I was seated next to a really large person who overflowed into my seat and another next to children who's parents could care less if they kept kicking my seat, I was moved once I made my request known to the stewardess. I like spirit and you will too if you have reasonable expectations.

You get what you pay for. My tickets were $104 cheaper than the next cheapest. They get you with the additional fees. Baggage fees, including carry on (anything larger than a purse, small backpack, or briefcase). They tell you that you have to pay to use the overhead compartment. The flight attendants were cordial, at best. One bumped my husband's arm and she didn't even slow down. An apology would have been nice. You are an in flight customer service rep, nothing more. You must pay for all in flight services, including a pillow and blanket ($7). They put you into a plane with the basic understanding that passengers are sardines. The seats do not recline at all and the padding for the seats is non-existent. There was a child sitting behind me who was somewhat restless, so I felt every move that he made. I'll be paying the additional money up front next time, going with a known airline who actually seems to care about their passengers, not just the amount of profit they can make from everyone. Ya got me once, Spirit..

I researched and already knew what to expect, so I wasn't blindsided by the legroom, or non reclining seats or paying extra. I chose random seating, and got a middle seat, which is wider than most other airline seats. I would have liked a window seat, but it's only a 3 hour flight, so I just grinned and bore it. The flight was completely full flying on Christmas Eve, but we got in 20 minutes earlier than expected, and since i was able to pack all my things in a personal bag, the round trip ticket price of $96 dollars was well worth it (I found out afterward that had I booked at the airport and not online, I would have saved $45 so that is what I will do from now on . Overall, I don't mind spirit at all, The crew was nice and professional, no delays, and worth the money saved

My flight date is not until July 31st and I have already had experiences that makes me think that I will not use this airline again. Flying use to be a pleasurable thing but in todays world it is the beast from hell. They nickel and dime you for everything. Airlines have found a way to charge consumers for things that were included when you bought a ticket in the past. Another thing I don't like speaking to a person outside of the U.S. Spirit is no difference. Limiting a passenger to 40 pounds for check-in baggage is terrible, people come in different sizes therefore clothing will not be the same size. How did they come up with that? Airlines know herd us in like cattle pack tight and we're not on the open range.

Almost 3hr flight. Got a window seat which I was pleased with. Both people beside me did not move on either trip so I remained seated the entire time.
There is very little leg room if you are tall. I am 6'3" and my knees touched the seat in front of me. I was not entirely uncomfortable but did feel cramped.
Flight attendants were great both trips but more personality on the trip to Vegas than on my later return trip back to Houston. Always offered snacks or beverages at multiple times.
One note is from my seats behind the engines (27F, 29F) you tend to smell some exhaust upon take off so that could make some travelers slightly more uncomfortable; especially if you are claustrophobic or senstive to odors.
For the price I paid, I wasn't expecting luxury so I rate my trip 8/10 overall.

This was on a fairly new A-320. Nice interior, clean, and with the 28 inch pitch seats. Leg room not bad for an average person, although the seat in front of you seems awfully close, but not to worry, the seats don't recline. And the non-reclining seats aren't an issue, since most planes, the seats don't really recline much anyway.

Keep in mind, flying Spirit, you will pay for everything. They don't have wi-fi and they don't have IFE of PTVs. With that in mind, I had a wonderful flight to LAX, with a great group of flight attendants.

This was my first trip on Spirit, and I plan to continue flying them in the future!

Ugh. You quite literally get what you pay for on this airline. There are extra charges for carry-on bags and seat reservations, on-board juice, water, etc. The seat does not recline at all. The padding is non-existent. On both of my flights, I uncomfortably felt every leg movement of the person behind me, one of which was a large man, the other a child. All arm rests could be raised for bench-like seating, which improved width. Overhead space was similar to other airlines A320's (slightly smaller overhead bins than on Boeing planes.) I am not tall and the legroom was minimal. For the final cost, I might as well have paid for a major carrier.

This was my first time flying Spirit. $117 roundtrip!! I made sure to do my homework before the flight so that I would have a pretty good idea of what to expect. With that in mind, I had a great experience going and returning. I made other arrangements for my big bag, so I only had a laptop bag of clothes to take on for free. Minor delays both ways, but I expected based on reviews. If you do your homework first, you will be fine. Not bad at all (when you know what to expect).

I paid an upgrade fee of $25 for this seat and it was well worth it for the extra leg room. I am bigger man and there is no way I would have room on a 5 hour flight in the regular seating so I recommend the exit row seats highly for this sort of situation as well as extended flights. Plenty of leg room and the seats were roomy. Only downfall of this airline is the seats dont recline but they actually dont in any row.
