Maletas y equipaje de mano en Air Astana

What is Air Astana policy with regard to the free baggage allowance?

Each passenger who has a ticket, except for infants, is entitled to a free allowance for hand baggage and checked baggage. The checked baggage allowance may be limited by the class of travel and any combination of dimensions, weight and number of pieces. Baggage in excess of the free allowance is subject to an extra charge.

What is Air Astana policy with regard to special or bulky baggage?

Passengers who want to check any special baggage (live animals, certain sports equipment, technical devices, perishable items, wheelchairs, fragile items, etc.) must contact Air Astana Special Services in advance to get approval for carriage of these items. If you come to check-in without getting prior approval, you may not be allowed to check such baggage.

Bulky baggage (each piece of baggage with the sum of its threedimensions over 158 cm) and heavy baggage (each piece of baggage over 32 kg) can be carried only with the prior consent of Air Astana, and will be charged as a real weight and excluded from the free baggage allowance.

The hand baggage must not exceed a total weight of 8 kg in Economy Class and 18 kg in Business Class. Passengers in Business Class may carry two pieces of hand baggage. For safety reasons, hand baggage dimensions are limited and, on Air Astana flights, must not exceed 55 x 40 x 20 cm.
