Csa Czech Airlines minors flying alone

Does CSA Czech Airlines offer the Unaccompanied Minor Service?

On request, CSA Czech Airlines offers the Unaccompanied Minor Service for children aged from 5 to 11 years. Children under 5 years of age cannot travel alone. At the parents’ request, children aged from 12 to 17 years can also travel as Unaccompanied Minors.

How do I book the Unaccompanied Minor Service for my kid?

The Unaccompanied Minor (UM) Service must be requested when booking a flight, but no later than 48 hours before departure. You can book this service by contacting a Czech Airlines sales office or via the Call Centre immediately after completing the flight booking. Before the issuance of the ticket, you must complete the Unaccompanied Minor form.

Unaccompanied Minor Service

The child must have his/her own documents: passport, visa (if required), etc. At check-in, your children will receive a special UM card which the child keeps hung on his/her neck during the flight. Children traveling on their own will not be left alone during any part of their journey. CSA Czech Airlines staff members will be by their side at all times.

At the departure airport, a Czech Airlines employee will take care of your child and will accompany him/her until he/she is boarded. On board, the cabin crew will assume responsibility for the Unaccompanied Minor. Your child will receive refreshments and a gift, a Jetsters game, to keep him/her entertained during the flight. Upon disembarking, your child will be met by ground personnel who will help him/her claim the luggage. The child will be handed over to the person designated in the Unaccompanied Minor form upon identification made on the basis of photo ID.

Fees

You will pay 100% of the applicable adult tariff for your child to travel as an Unaccompanied Minor. The Unaccompanied Minor Service is provided for an additional charge:

  • EUR 65 per each leg – to/from European destinations.
