How can I check in for a LATAM Airlines Brasil flight?

Passengers can use the check-in counters at the airport, but, for most LATAM Brasil flights, they can also obtain their boarding pass by using:

  • Automatic Check-in.
  • Web Check-in.
  • Mobile Check-in.
  • Kiosk (Totem) Check-in.

When must I check in for a LATAM Airlines Brasil flight?

For both domestic and international flights, passengers must check in at least 2 hours prior to the scheduled departure time.

Automatic Check-in

Automated Check-in is only available for domestic flights within Brazil. When you purchase your ticket or online through My Trips, you must select the Automatic Check-in option and fill in the requested information. You will receive your boarding pass by email or SMS within 72 hours before your flight.

Automatic Check-in is not available for minors traveling unaccompanied or for passengers who are traveling with infants, accompanied by animals or have requested a wheelchair. If you have not indicated any seat preference, you will be randomly assigned one.

Web Check-in

For domestic flights within Brazil and Paraguay, you may check in anytime between 72 hours and 45 minutes before the flight.

For international flights, you may check in between 72 and 2 hours before the scheduled departure. If you are traveling to the United States, you can print the boarding pass 24 hours before your flight departure.

For flights from the US, passengers may check in from 24 hours to 2 hours before the scheduled departure.

Web Check-in may not be used when:

  • Special services have been requested: transport of animals (in the cabin or the hold) and Unaccompanied Minors.
  • There are infants listed in the reservations.
  • The flight is not operated by LATAM Airlines Brasil.
  • The first segment of the flight is operated by a partner airline.

For flights within Brazil without checked luggage, passengers should be at the boarding gate up to 30 minutes before the flight. For international flights without checked luggage, passengers should be at the boarding gate up to 1 hour before the flight departure time. Passengers with baggage to be checked, should be at the airport at least 90 minutes before the departure of their domestic Brazilian flight, and at least 2 hours before their international flight departure time. In that case, passengers should use only LATAM Brasil’s exclusive baggage counters and bag drops to check the baggage for the flight.

At the end of Web Check-in, you can directly print your boarding pass or choose to receive it by email or SMS. You may also request your boarding pass to be printed at the airport check-in counters.

The cancellation of Web Check-in is available up to one hour before departure time for domestic flights, and 2 hours before departure for international flights.

Mobile Check-in

Mobile Check-in is available by accessing the mobile version of the airline website or through the LATAM Airlines app anytime between 72 hours and 45 minutes before the flight for all domestic flights operated by LATAM Airlines Brasil.

For international flights, Mobile Check-in is available between 72 and 2 hours before the scheduled flight departure for flights departing from São Paulo International (GRU) and Santiago de Chile (not available for flights to the US), the US, Paris, Frankfurt, London, Madrid, Milan, Lima, Montevideo.

Kiosk (Totem) Check-in

Kiosks (totems) are available for check-in at the following airports: Assunção, Belém, Belo Horizonte, Brasilia, Buenos Aires, Cuiabá, Campinas, Campo Grande, Córdoba (Argentina), Curitiba, Florianópolis, Fortaleza, Foz do Iguaçu, Frankfurt, Goiânia, London, Londrina, Maceió, Madrid, Miami, Manaus, Montevideo, Natal, Orlando, Paris, Porto Alegre, Rio de Janeiro, Recife, Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo, São Luís, São José do Rio Preto, Salvador, Santiago do Chile, Vitória .

At the airports in São Paulo (GRU) and Brasilia (domestic flights), there are self-tagging kiosks where you can also print your baggage labels. After you attach the labels to your baggage, you must go to the LATAM Brasil counter to weigh and check in your bags.
