- Advance Check-in.
- Self Check-in.
What is the deadline for checking-in at the Royal Jordanian counter?
When flying with Royal Jordanian, passengers checking in at the counter should do so no later than 3 hours prior to their scheduled departure time. All passengers should be at the gate 1 hour prior to departure.
The closing time for the check-in counters is:
- 60 minutes before departure – flights to/from the United States, Canada and London.

The closing time for the boarding gate is 15 minutes before departure for all flights.
With Royal Jordanian’s Web Check-in service you can choose seats and print boarding passes for all members of your travel party before leaving for the airport and also save time at Queen Alia International Airport by dropping your baggage quickly at the Web Check-in counter. Web Check-in is available from 24 hours up to 4 hours prior to the scheduled departure time.
With the new mobile application available in Apple Store and Google Play Store, Royal Jordanian’s passengers will be able to complete the check-in process directly on their mobile device and get the e-boarding pass via email and SMS.
Daily from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., the Amman City Terminal offers exclusively to passengers traveling with Royal Jordanian the convenience of Advance Check-in.
The Advance Check-in counters provide all check-in related services: you can drop off your baggage, choose your seat and obtain your boarding pass between 24 hours and 8 hours prior to your scheduled departure time. However, you must still arrive at Queen Alia International Airport 1 hour and 30 minutes before departure in order to ensure you clear customs before boarding begins.
You can get your boarding pass without queuing at counters with Royal Jordanian’s Self Check-in service. The CUSS (Common-Use Self-Service – shared kiosks) will ease your travel arrangements (obtaining the boarding pass and baggage tags), and all this can be done by following a few simple steps.
