WestJet check-in

How can I check in for a WestJet flight?

WestJet offers several methods to check-in, including three self-serve check-in options:

  • Online Check-in.
  • Mobile Check-in.
  • Kiosk Check-in.
  • Counter Check-in.

When must I check in for my WestJet flight?

When checking-in at the counter, the check-in cut off time is 45 minutes prior to scheduled departure for domestic flights (within Canada) and 60 minutes prior to scheduled departure for flights to/from the US and international destinations.

If you have oversized or overweight baggage, you must check in 30 minutes before the check-in deadline for your flight. Also, if you are traveling with a pet, it is recommended that you check in 120 minutes before departure for a domestic flight and 150 minutes before an international flight because your pet may be denied boarding if you check in less than 90 minutes before departure.

Electronic Boarding Pass

If you have an Electronic Boarding Pass, the original Electronic Boarding Pass must be presented on a web-enabled mobile device. A print version of an Electronic Boarding Pass is not accepted, but you can obtain a paper copy of your boarding pass from a kiosk or WestJet representative.

You should save a version of your Electronic Boarding Pass on your phone when you check in online. If you are using an Apple device (iOS 10 or newer), you can add multiple Electronic Boarding Passes to Passbook to have offline access. On Android devices, one e-boarding pass for one guest can be saved per device.
