There are four Airbus 319 in Croatia Airline’s fleet which can hold 132 passengers. These planes are used for short and medium haul flights. They have a maximum cruising altitude of 11900m and speed of 870km/h.
On 1 January 1998 Croatia Airlines became a member of AEA – Association of European Airlines. Their first aircraft of the Airbus A319 type, called Zadar landed at Zagreb Airport. In March, they opened an office in Rome, in April, one in Paris, and in September, an office in Vienna. In May, they incorporated another Airbus A319, called Zagreb, into their fleet. For the second time they had the honour of receiving the Holy Father, Pope John Paul II, on board their aircraft.
Number of passengers carried that year: 919,000.
Croatia Airlines has introduced a new benefit: as of 21st June 2005 our youngest passengers, infants, travel free of charge and are entitled to 10 kg of baggage. The only condition is that infants sit on the accompanying person’s lap. This benefit applies to all domestic and international flights and is not time-limited. Airport taxes and other applicable taxes are charged.
Croatia Airlines provides special meals according to religious beliefs if reserved 24 hours in advance.
Exit behind window seats may be the only one with recline limitation – check with Croatia Airlines to be sure. (Our experience tells us that Airbus follows this rule whereas Boeing doesn’t)
