The seat location on this plane is as good as you can get without sitting in first class. You are in a semi-private section of two rows, totaling 12 people. Although, the diagram shows three rows, our plane had only two. You are first served for your food/snack/water service. Also the bathroom is close enough that you can see from your seat if there is a long line without needing to get up. They only MAJOR warning that I will give is that Hawaiian Airlines does NOT serve any vegetarian meals. You will need to buy your snacks before getting on the plane and hope for the best. We had a long a VERY uncomfortable ride do to waiting seven hours for the fruit cup/water to be served two hours before arrival on a nine hour flight.

Plane was very old, seats narrow ad seatbelts 9 inches shorter than the rest of the plane. Very uncomfortable due to age of plane. Rattle even when not experiencing turbulence, we as a Family of 4 adults paid extra as we thought Hawaiian was the best. Lesson learned never again, our connection flight from Brisbane to Sydney only gave us 2 hours to get across terminals and check in, flight arrived 40 minutes late so absolute chaos told to run to gate 53 as flight was boarding any minute and then sat at the gate because flight was delayed 20 mins. Overall a shitty experience to what should have been a fabulous start to a holiday of a lifetime

Average economy seat right in the middle of the cabin. We contemplated upgrading to rows 12 and 13 seats A and B but were put off by some warning that these seats might be in high traffic areas. After seeing these seats on the plane though we would have preferred them as they are quieter, have more space and are in the same cabin as business class. Service was average, not enough food and snacks provided. They ran out of snacks to sell as everyone was starving on the plane. When we complained there was not enough room, the supervisor suggested we bring our own food on board next time.

This is the first time I have flown First Class. I needed to do so because of a medical condition. The airline was great, flight attendants could not have been nicer. The cabin was very comfortable. The seats could be fully reclined. I only reclined part way but it was what I needed to manage the flight. The food and service were excellent. The storage of items in front of your seat and reaching the iPad entertainment screen was moderately difficult for me because there was so much room between the seats I had trouble reaching that far forward. Probably not a problem for most people.

We sat in 14A and 14B we paid extra for these preferred seats. The extra leg room was appreciated. We boarded quckly with our preferred seats this was great because we stowed our hand luggage in empty overhead lockers, however there did not appear to be any problems with carry ons on this full flight. Cabin crew were pleasant and helpful. Only problem was 14A did not recline. The inflight entertainment is limited if you don,t want to pay for premium. We had our own tablets set to flight mode. Plane left on time and arrived early. I would use this flight and company again.

Paid extra for this seat, not wòrth it. Seat did not recline and entertainment was defunct on and off for 9 hours. Hostie rebooted but did not improve. Eat b4 you board as food is scarce. I starved both ways. Coffee was liquid dirt with no offer of milk or sugar. Grumpy hostie who seemed over her job. Only positive thing was 64 kilos of baggage each way. Pay extra and fly with Qantas, at least you will get fed.

We flew from Honolulu to Sydney. The service was OK, but not perfect. 'm 6'2" and skinny so found the seats wide enough but there wasn't enough leg room and they were a bit hard. Overall the trip and plane were ok. Because we were on long-haul we got full entertainment which was good. Food was ok, but small servings and not enough of it, although their in flight galley operated pretty much for the entire flight.

I was very disappointed in the stewardess. We we were traveling with a 2 yr. Old which is a feat in it self. But they did not ask if there was any thing we needed or anything they could help us with. They never smiled, they really seemed to dislike their job. One actually rammed the drink cart into my knee and didn't even aqologize.

I purchased a Premium Econo upgrade for $125 (x2 people) for the 9 3/4 flight to NZ. That cabin feels much more connected to first than coach. Very private feeling and quiet with attentive staff and good food/free spirits. It cost $125 PER leg for my United Prem-Econo upgrade from Tampa to SFO and SFO to Honolulu. My first Hawaiian air experience was quite nice.

28H and 28J did not recline but 27H and 27J did.
Early into the flight the passenger in front of me reclined a modest amount. I tried to recline my seat but it did not budge. Later the seat in front reclined even more leaving very little room between my face the the seat back screen I was trying to watch.
