I'm usually wary of getting a bulkhead seat right next to the galley because of noise issues. However, this was a no-brainer since the footwells in rows 1 and 4 have more room in the footwell. If you're under 6', please do the tall people a favour and do NOT choose these rows. We really need the extra foot space. And happily, the cabin crew working the galley kept the noise to the absolute minimum. UA has been impressing me with its international business service lately. Well done.

The aircraft is wonderful! Big windows and, as noted below, a very quiet ride, especially up front. I didn't have an issue with the windows not blacking out completely as I always sleep with the eyemask on an aircraft. The seats are the same as the former Continental business first product. The service was very attentive and professional - a pleasant surprise. My only gripe was that, being 6'4", (193cm), the foot well is cramped.

What a luxury: a wide and comfortable seat and ottoman alongside a proper bed. I only wish I had been sleepier on this overnight flight to get fuller user of the bed. The first class entertainment system is finally superior to that in business class with a 15 inch screen. As there were only two pax in F class on this flight, the service was outstanding, as we essentially each had a personal attendant. The only concern was the storage space. While there are ample nooks and crannies for various elements, my rather small carry-on had to be stowed in the closet for the duration of the flight as there was no secure space for it in the seating area.

This seat is about 3 inches shorter than the version on the 777-200 (ex-Continental). It was fine for a daytime jump across the Atlantic, but I found snoozing to be uncomfortable (I'm 6'4"). I was worried that I would get a lot of bumps being open to both aisles, but that did not seem to be a concern. The AVOD system is excellent and contains a large variety of films and TV shows. The food was very good, although the service was very perfunctory and my "thank yous" greeted with little more than a grunt from the male flight attendant.

The advantage of the even K seats, from my perspective, is that you have the window right at your side. The odd numbered K seats have a small table on between the window and the seat, obstructing the view somewhat. The other advantage is that the even numbered K seats have the table on the aisle side, shielding the occupant from bumps of passing carts. However, I found the seat to be on the short side. Yes, I am quite tall and at 6'4"/193 cm, I just barely squeezed into the seat when it was fully reclined. This particular seat is also quite near to the toilets and galley, although this did not bother me. However, I would be very wary of seat 11G as the lady sitting in this seat was constantly bothered by people going to the bathroom, light seeping in from the galley and the curtain intruding on her seat.

This is a comfortable plane for European travel. It is now equipped with the thinner NEK (Neue Europa Kabine) seats. For European routes, however, they offer good comfort and leg room. While the pitch is reduced to 30 inches, the clever redesign of the seat allows for tall blokes like me to sit comfortably. Service was crisp yet friendly on board with a hot lunch being served, some tortellini.

The configuration of this aircraft has changed slightly. There is now a version with three more rows in the front economy cabin and two fewer rows in the rear business cabin. The middle seats at the exit row have about 33 inches of pitch, enough to sit comfortably for even a tall guy like myself. Note that the seats in row 25 do not recline.

Sadly I fell ill on the flight. The crew were very helpful in helping me find appropriate medication, serving me tea, and checking on me periodically. I was impressed by the level of attention.

A torturous seat. The pitch on this plane is not 32 inches in economy, but rather 31. As I was travelling with a group, I was able to change to 44K, which was slightly more comfortable. At least I could sit straight, but was not able to stretch out my legs. Service on board was attentive and friendly. LH flight attendants seem to be trying to shake their reputation of efficient yet frosty.

The plus side is that this is a very comfortable business seat, essentially the same that is used on the 777 for intercontinental flights, so I was quite happy to get it on a domestic route. I was quite tired from my early morning connection from Mexico, so it was great to be able to sleep for an hour or so. On the downside, there is no AVOD. I have to agree with the other comments on this aircraft: it needs a total revamping.

I paid for the upgrade to Economy Plus. While the service is the same (read: non-existent), the emergency exit seat is very comfortable. As I am quite tall, it was well worth the expense.

I had a terrible cold the day I had to fly and the business class f/a sprang into action, making sure that I was well hydrated with plenty of tea. She even added ginger from her own private supply. I was very grateful for this extremely attentive service. 1G has no view towards a window whatsoever, but has the advantage of being one of the first seats to be served in flight.

The seats on the old style 767 were a huge disappointment. The placement of the magazine pocket meant that it jutted straight into my legs. During the flight, I went back to the Economy Plus cabin to speak to a friend and found that the leg room was equal to or superior to that in business class with the intrusive magazine pouch. I wouldn't bother with the business/first product on the older 767 in the future and would buy the upgrade to Economy Plus instead. The new intercontinental service with the lie-flat seats, however, was excellent.

My favourite seat on the A319. Loads of extra legroom, although if you are shorter you will have trouble accessing the AVOD screen mounted on the bulkhead. Comfortable quilts offered for the overnight flight, although this route has mercifully been changed to a daytime flight.

This seat didn't seem to have much recline and it was a bit noisy being right next to the economy class cabin. The obligatory baby began to wail during taxing, but fortunately settled down after that. The legroom is adequate. No AVOD in the 737 fleet, but several movies were played (very annoyingly for a night flight).

On the way back to Mexico, I got seat 2A. Much more spacious feeling than the bulkhead row. Only a quick beverage service is made on this short shuttle flight.
